The ANS November Meet & Greet was successfully held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Tandoori Fairfax in Fairfax, Virginia. The event featured an engaging lineup of speakers who shared diverse insights and experiences:

Dr. Kishor Uprety delivered an insightful talk on “Geopolitics and Development: Rationale and Role for New Institutions,” drawing from his 35 years of experience in international law at institutions like IFAD, the World Bank, and AIIB.

Bijaya Chhetri, a small business owner from Gaithersburg, MD, shared her entrepreneurial journey and her work with Isvara LLC (Isvara by bnb).

Robert Dolce, a former Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal (1976-78) and a U.S. Diplomat recounted his early experiences in Nepal and his diplomatic work in Kathmandu.

Dr. Shyam Thapa highlighted his career journey, from his work in the U.S. to key roles at USAID Nepal, WHO Geneva, and his current mentorship in public health.

Ms. Manju Sangraula, Executive Director of the Himalaya Free Clinic (HFC), updated the clinic’s impactful work. HFC has served approximately 1,500 uninsured patients, focusing on chronic care management, blood drives, and other vital services.

The event brought together members of the Nepali community and friends of Nepal, fostering connections and celebrating shared experiences.
